Reflections + 2011 Goals

First a foremost I just want to thank everyone for their support this past year! 2010 exceeded my expectations for my business and I honestly owe it all to those who have supported me… and I’m not just saying it to say it… I REALLY mean it!

I went from zero weddings in 2009 to four in 2010 and have four already booked for 2011. I even book my first Destination Wedding in Turks & Caicos on my birthday! This really will be the best birthday yet… bringing in age 26 doing what I love most… oh ya and it’s in one of the most beautiful places on earth! It’s honestly the most amazing feeling whenever you start truly doing what you’ve been dreaming of. Like I’ve said before in the past, shooting a wedding is the best part that my job has to offer. I’ve been honored to spend all those moments with the brides before they walk down the aisle. Nothing beats that moment when you see her turn the corner.

I sat down this past week and wrote down my 2011 Business Goals & Personal Goals… let’s just stick with the business ones for now!

•Aim for 7 weddings

•Take more educational classes

•Find a suitable second shooter

•Book the impossible

•Don’t be afraid of trying new shots – they could end up being amazing

•Blog more and don’t be scared to get personal

•Lastly, never forget that this is F-U-N!

Never underestimate the power of a LIST! I’m the type of person who writes down everything. You’d be surprised how much that list helps me with my day-to-day activities. You can even start with the most cliche goal for the New Year… Work Out More! – Heck even I use that one every year…

I’m hoping everyone had a beautiful Holiday and I’m wishing everyone the best in 2011. Eleven is my favorite number so I’m hoping this next year brings me endless good luck, all the true love and Gods blessings to all.

Happy New Year!
