Masquerade Ball

What a beautiful benefit and an even more beautiful cause. In 1990 Judy Warren organized a small support group in the community for people with AIDS and their family members, after losing a brother who was diagnosed with AIDS. From that small beginning developed the Midland Area AIDS Support (MAAS) ministry. The organization offers support groups for people with HIV/AIDS and separate groups for their families in Midland and Odessa; a program to teach AIDS awareness in the secondary schools; CARE Teams that provide spiritual and emotional support to people with AIDS in their homes; and grief recovery groups.

On October 7th, 2011 the MASQUERADE Ball was a giant success raising over $60,000 from the enormous support from the Community and the Members who put this soiree together. Ashlee Rice who played a huge roll in pulling this together, made the night one of the most gorgeous events in Midland history. A special thanks to  You’re Invited By Shellie for her fabulous designs and perfect centerpieces. Also, Skull Kandy hand designed all of the artisan masks for the event and you can find more of their work here.

If you or a loved one are in need of support regarding HIV/AIDS please give our friends at MAAS a call.
